HIL simulation - Hardware in the loop
- Similar to PIL simulation the control system is running on the target hardware platform, moreover the input-output devices are used and the model contains emulators of sensors and simulated actuators
- Intended for testing the whole control system including the DAQ cards and/or I/O units and their drivers
- The last step before the physical prototype is developed
