REX Controls developed the complete control system for the Meech SmartControl Touch device, produced by Meech International, a British company. The system enables configuration, control, and monitoring of ionisation equipment used for electrostatic charge management in industrial production lines.

The project, which has been ongoing since 2016, involves implementing Meech’s proprietary communication protocol over a serial interface and continuous software development tailored to customer requirements. The control software ensures reliable communication, data visualisation, and integration with the device’s touch interface and higher-level systems.

The system also features the integration of Anybus communication modules, providing connectivity to industrial networks such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP. Feedback control based on distance and voltage sensors ensures high precision and stability of electrostatic charge neutralisation.
