The control system of temperature shock stand for automotive components testing has been developed based on REXYGEN and successfully applied. The control task difficulties result from nonsymmetrical and nonlinear behavior of the controlled temperature system with heating and cooling. The developed solution consists of two parts – analog and logic control. The first part contains advanced PID controllers with automatic tuning of parameters and the second part contains sequential state machines for work modes selection and error indication. The control system allows exporting of testing data and protocols to a supervisory system. The stand was maintained by ZF Engineering and UWB/KKY.
